Our Track Record
In the past, the Buzbee Law Firm has:
- Recovered $15 million from Transocean on behalf of a group of offshore drilling workers.
- Obtained a a $6.2 million verdict against Halliburton, and others, for the death of an offshore worker.
- Obtained a $100 million punitive damages verdict against BP, for a group of refinery workers.

Been retained by Spain's Basque government to bring claims against a U.S. classification society, related to the sinking of the Prestige oil tanker and resulting catastrophic oil spill in the Bay of Biscayne.
The Buzbee Law Firm is a small firm (getting much bigger) that tries big cases. Our track record is a point of pride with us. if we don't believe in the case, we don't take it. Once we take a case, we put our hearts into it. Every case we take is prepared aggressively as if it will be tried to a verdict, in front of a jury. Opposing lawyers know we will not hesitate to try a case to verdict, most often with extraordinary results. Our reputation alone adds great value to every case we choose to accept. Opponents know that if we are in the case, the case is serious.
We also pride ourselves in realizing that legal disputes don't just happen in Texas. We are often hired by firms and individuals outside the State of Texas to assist in high-profile, high-stakes cases. Because of nationwide clientele, over the years we have developed close working relationships with some of the best law firms in most major cities in the United States. No matter where your dispute arises, we are able to assist.
At our firm, we are proud to represent working people, small business, the disadvantaged, and the underdogs. We believe that children are our most precious resource, and are proud of the work we have done to protect them. We are particularly proud of those cases that have resulted in changes to corporate business practices that are intended to improve safety. While we primarily represent individuals, we will on occasion represent corporate interests--if the price is right. Indeed, companies often seek our services after seeing how we work. And, although we do frequently represent companies, we have never represented an insurance company, and never will.
