Chase Newsom grew up in Amarillo, Texas. For his undergraduate degree, he attended Texas A&M University earning a degree in Political Science and graduating Cum Laude. Chase studied law at South Texas College of Law, and was heavily involved in the school’s nationally recognized advocacy program. After graduating law school, Chase served as a law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Mary Lou Robinson for the Northern District of Texas.
During law school, Chase, along with his teammates, won a national championship in Moot Court at the National Health Law Moot Court Competition hosted by Southern Illinois University. In 2017 Chase was inducted into the Order of Barristers, an honor society recognizing exceptional advocacy skills.
Chase is licensed to practice law in Texas.
