Sean O’Rourke grew up as the son of Longshoreman on Galveston Island. Sean earned his law degree from the Southern Methodist University School of Law. Sean earned his bachelor's degree in Political Science from Southwest Texas State University in 2001.

After graduating from law school in 2004, Sean began his law practice in Dallas, Texas, where he defended corporations in all areas of civil litigation, in both state and federal courts. In 2006, Sean joined the Buzbee Law Firm, where he primarily represents working people in all aspects of civil litigation.

Sean serves as the treasurer of the Galveston County Young Lawyers Association, and was recently named a Texas Super Lawyer, Rising Star for 2010.
