Nicholas Simon, a veteran of Desert Storm (18th Airborne), attended the University of Houston where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree. While attending UH, he received numerous honors, including being nominated by the Provost of the University as the top student in his field of studies. Mr. Simon started his professional career in education as a teacher in the Houston area. Upon deciding to go to law school, Mr. Simon scored one of the highest LSAT scores recorded by a graduate of the University of Houston and was recruited by Yale, the University of Southern California and UCLA. Mr. Simon decided to stay at The University of Houston, his alma mater, where he received a Dean’s Scholarship.
As an attorney, Mr. Simon has handled many of types of cases, including Personal Injury, Premises Defect, Industrial Accident, Workers Compensation, 18-Wheeler, Jones Act, and Longshore Claims. As one of the lead lawyers working on the BP Explosion Cases, he demonstrated his dedication and focus by managing a team of six lawyers and numerous staff members until the 150-plus claims that the Firm was handling were highly successfully resolved.
Mr. Simon, while predominantly based out of the Galveston office where he works on cases in Galveston and Harris County, also works out of the Rio Grande Valley office where he represents clients in Hidalgo, Starr, Cameron, and other South Texas counties.
