Chris Johns earned his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, where he was a member of the National Moot Court Team. Chris earned his bachelor's degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993.

After graduating from law school in 1997, Chris went to work for two of the biggest defense firms in the nation, where he defended corporations in all areas of civil litigation, in both state and federal courts around the nation. After deciding he wanted to do more plaintiffs' work, in 2002, Chris joined a well-respected Houston litigation boutique, where he represented both plaintiffs and defendants in almost every aspect of civil litigation, including commercial, personal injury/wrongful death, toxic tort, admiralty, employment, and securities litigation.

In 2003, Chris joined the Buzbee Law Firm, where he continues to represent both individuals and corporations in all aspects of civil litigation.  Chris heads up the Firm's Houston office, which opened in 2008.

Chris has tried many cases to verdict and judgment throughout Texas and Louisiana, in both state and federal courts.  Along the way, he has recovered millions of dollars for his clients and their families.  A testament to Chris' dedication to his clients is the many referrals he receives from his former clients, as well as from other lawyers who have entrusted him with the handling of their clients' cases.

Texas Monthly Magazine has consistently selected Chris as a "Rising Star" in the area of Plaintiff's Personal Injury Litigation.
