Chris Leavitt received his undergraduate degree with Honors from the University of Texas in 2002 and is a 2005 graduate of the University of Houston Law Center.  During his time in law school, Chris completed clerkships for the Harris County District Attorney, The Buzbee Law Firm, and the Honorable Lynn H. Hughes, United States District Judge, Southern District of Texas. 

After graduating from law school, Chris went to work for one of the largest commercial real estate firms in the nation, where he negotiated agreements for more than $2 Billion in commercial real estate transactions.   After deciding he wanted to pursue plaintiffs’ work in 2008, Chris joined The Buzbee Law Firm, where he had been a Law Clerk in 2003.  He was brought in to head the firms Hurricane Ike Claims division.
